CES 2021: vestíveis facilitam interação com dispositivos

Já faz tempo que se fala em utensílios vestíveis e alguns deles até já fazem sucesso no mercado. Na CES 2021, alguns se sobressaíram por sua utilidade. É o caso da Mudra Band, da Wearable Devices. Ela vem com sensores que captam impulsos elétricos neurais no pulso e usam inteligência artificial para associá-los a movimentos dos dedos.

Com isso, o usuário pode controlar um Apple Watch com movimentos sutis dos dedos de uma mão – ou seja, sem qualquer toque na tela do relógio. O próprio usuário pode definir qual movimento vai para cada ação: ou seja, o dedão pode ativar a Siri enquanto o indicador pode ajudar na leitura de mensagens.

Esse recurso amplia as possibilidades de acessibilidade, já que pode permitir o uso por amputados, por exemplo. A Mudra Band custa US$ 179 (cerca de R$ 950) e pode ser comprada na página de financiamento do projeto. O envio está previsto para março e, para o Brasil, o frete sai US$ 25 (aproximadamente R$ 130).

Anel para controlar o celular

Um anel de silicone médico, com um pequeno joystick. Esse é o ArcX Smart Ring, que promete permitir controlar dispositivos como celular, câmeras de ação e outros itens conectáveis por bluetooth apenas com o pequeno dispositivo.

A responsável pela novidade é a startup britânica ArcX Technology. O anel foi desenhado para ser usado no dedo indicador, para que seja controlado facilmente com o dedão. E isso vai funcionar mesmo que o usuário esteja usando luvas – algo bem difícil nas telas sensíveis ao toque.

Segundo a fabricante, uma carga de uma hora na bateria do anel garante até 20 dias em stand-by ou até cinco dias de uso normal. O dispositivo é à prova d’água e foi testado em profundidades de até 2 metros.

O anel é composto por duas partes que podem ser separadas. Com isso, o elemento que contém o joystick pode ser colocado em uma pulseira (que vem incluída) e usado em um guidão de bicicleta, em um remo ou em outro acessório esportivo. Vai custar £ 79 (cerca de R$ 570) e chega ao mercado em maio.
