Embora o desemprego na América Latina tenha ultrapassado 10% em 2020 (no Brasil, a taxa média em 2020 foi de 13,5%, abrangendo 13,4 milhões de pessoas) em meio à pandemia do coronavírus, alguns empregos tiveram um aumento em sua demanda.

De modo geral, saúde e tecnologia passaram a ser os dois setores com maior necessidade de trabalhadores no ano passado em relação ao ano anterior.

E, apesar de cada país ter suas peculiaridades, existem algumas tendências gerais que marcaram a evolução do mercado de trabalho no continente.

Os empregos no setor de tecnologia, que vinham apresentando uma demanda crescente, deram um salto gigantesco em 2020 em função dos confinamentos e transformações que as empresas foram obrigadas a realizar para facilitar o trabalho remoto.

“Com a pandemia, a transformação digital dos negócios se acelerou. Muitas empresas fizeram mudanças em seis meses que poderiam levar anos”, disse Ramiro Luz, diretor de Soluções de Talentos do LinkedIn para a América Latina, à BBC News Mundo (serviço em espanhol da BBC).

E devido à crise sanitária, enfermeiros, médicos e outros profissionais e técnicos do setor de saúde estão sendo mais procurados do que nunca.

“O enfermeiro intensivista era o cargo mais crítico e mais demandado em todos os lugares”, explica Luz.

Nesse contexto, o país da região que mais demandou esse tipo de profissional foi o Brasil.

Aqui aumentou também a demanda por profissionais do setor de pesquisa e desenvolvimento (P&D), como farmacêuticos e bioquímicos, um novo elemento que faz a diferença no que diz respeito às necessidades de trabalho de outros países latino-americanos.

A surpresa do mercado imobiliário e do e-commerce

No México, a segunda maior economia da região, um elemento inesperado apareceu no mercado de trabalho em 2020.

“O que nos chamou a atenção é que no México existe uma grande demanda por profissionais do setor imobiliário”, diz Luz.

Embora o setor imobiliário tenha sofrido forte impacto com a crise do coronavírus, paradoxalmente surgiu a necessidade de uma rápida adaptação do modelo de negócio de aluguel e venda de imóveis.

Por um lado, “muitos espaços corporativos ficaram vagos“, afirma o especialista. Mas também é verdade que com a queda das taxas de juros e do preço das casas, a demanda por trabalhadores no setor cresceu 54% em relação a 2019.

Outro fenômeno que surgiu em 2020 é a transferência de trabalhadores do atacado e varejo para o comércio eletrônico.

Por exemplo, os funcionários que trabalhavam como caixas mudaram-se para empregos em centros de armazenamento ou logística, essenciais para o comércio online.

Sem uma ordem específica e considerando que cada país tem suas necessidades próprias de mão de obra, esses são, segundo Ramiro Luz, alguns dos empregos mais demandados nas maiores economias da América Latina:

1- Desenvolvedor web “front-end e back-end“

No jargão dos desenvolvedores de software, existem dois tipos de especialistas: os que trabalham no “front-end” e os que trabalham no “back-end“.

Os primeiros desenvolvem a parte do software que interage diretamente com os usuários, enquanto os segundos processam as informações.

Junto com esses desenvolvedores, são necessários programadores. Estes últimos se encarregam de “codificar“, ou seja, escrever instruções em linguagem de computador para que o sistema realize tarefas como, por exemplo, fazer o controle de estoque em um depósito ou o registro de vendas.

Especialistas afirmam que, daqui alguns anos, quem não conhecer as linguagens de programação nos países desenvolvidos não poderá avançar profissionalmente, pois será uma habilidade exigida como a leitura ou a escrita são hoje.

Outros trabalhos com alta demanda são a de especialista em SAP (software de aplicativo de negócios), que ajuda a melhorar todos os processos de uma empresa, e os engenheiros de computação especializados em armazenamento na nuvem.

2-Engenheiro de Dados

Os engenheiros de dados são responsáveis por identificar tendências em conjuntos de dados e desenvolver algoritmos para ajudar a pegar as informações brutas e torná-las úteis para uma empresa.

Essa profissão requer um conhecimento profundo de design de banco de dados e de várias linguagens de programação.

É um tipo de trabalho intermediário entre os desenvolvedores de aplicativos e cientistas de dados.

Outros profissionais muito procurados na indústria de informática incluem analistas de validação, engenheiros de automação e arquitetos de dados.

3-Enfermeiro

Diante da crise de saúde provocada pela pandemia do coronavírus, o trabalho de maior demanda na região é o de enfermeiro especializado em UTI.

A demanda por médicos e todos os tipos de profissionais de saúde também aumentou exponencialmente, tendência que já vem de alguns anos. E os países que estão passando por um processo gradual de envelhecimento da população exigirão ainda mais profissionais de saúde no futuro.

Em meio à pandemia, a necessidade de profissionais de saúde mental, incluindo psiquiatras e psicólogos, também cresceu.

4-Equipe de apoio à saúde

Soma-se a isso a necessidade de auxiliares de enfermagem que amparem os pacientes nos processos de limpeza, cuidado, alimentação, administração de medicamentos e assistência em geral.

Há necessidade também de mais profissionais especializados em reabilitação, fisioterapia física e respiratória e pessoas treinadas no atendimento a idosos.

5-Especialista em marketing digital

Como as empresas foram forçadas a acelerar repentinamente sua transformação digital, as vagas para profissionais de marketing de redes sociais, consultores de marketing digital, especialistas em marcas e assistentes de marketing também aumentaram.

6- Diretor ou coordenador de comércio eletrônico

O comércio eletrônico impulsionou o mercado de trabalho da área.

O campo de trabalho é muito extenso porque inclui desde especialistas em informática até pessoas que desempenham funções em centros de armazenamento e distribuição de produtos.

O diretor ou coordenador de comércio eletrônico, mais conhecido como “gerente de e-commerce”, é o responsável pela gestão de um projeto de comércio eletrônico e pelo entendimento e controle do processo de venda online do início ao fim.
