Brasil se torna um dos 10 maiores do mundo em energia solar

Sabe-se que o Brasil tem grande capacidade de geração de energia por meio da luz do sol, setor que corresponde a 1,7% de toda a matriz energética brasileira. Segundo dados da Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (ANEEL) e da Associação Brasileira de Energia Solar Fotovoltaica (Absolar), foram adicionados 3,2 gigawatts em novos projetos de geração solar no país em 2020. Isso nos colocou entre os países com maior capacidade instalada de sistemas desse tipo.

No ranking, liderado pela China, o Brasil já ocupa a 9ª colocação. Em segundo lugar, estão os EUA, seguidos do Vietnã, Japão e Alemanha. O levantamento, feito pela Absolar a partir de dados do International Energy Agency Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (IEA PVPS), inclui tanto grandes usinas quanto pequenos sistemas. A expectativa, de acordo com a entidade, é de que o país continue subindo na lista, principalmente tendo em vista o bom momento da atividade por aqui.

Conforme o levantamento, entre os 3,153 megawatts de fonte solar fotovoltaica adicionados no país, cerca de 2.5 MW (80%) foram em sistemas de geração distribuída e o restante (20%), em sistemas de geração centralizada. 

A organização estimou que foram implantados R$ 16 bilhões em investimentos locais em 2020 e que se espera o aporte de R$ 23 bilhões neste ano. No acumulado dos últimos oito anos, o Brasil já investiu um total de R$ 42,1 bilhões em energia solar e gerou 236 mil empregos, indica o estudo.

Voltamos para o Top 10 em energia solar depois de quatro anos

Este é o melhor momento do Brasil no ranking mundial, desde 2017. Naquele ano, o país chegou ao 10º lugar, caindo para a 11ª posição em 2018 e para a 12ª no ano seguinte.

Em declaração para o Globo Rural, o presidente do Conselho de Administração da Absolar, Ronaldo Koloszuk, afirmou que o Brasil tem condições suficientes para ganhar ainda mais destaque no ramo.

“O país está em vias de votar o projeto de lei 5.820/2109, que cria o marco legal da geração própria de energia renovável e poderá trazer R$ 139 bilhões em novos investimentos até 2050, além de mais de 1 milhão de novos empregos nos próximos anos”, declarou.

De acordo com Rodrigo Sauaia, gerente executivo da Absolar, a energia fotovoltaica é a fonte renovável mais competitiva no Brasil e em muito contribui com o desenvolvimento sustentável. “Temos muito a ganhar com o crescimento desta fonte limpa, renovável e competitiva. O país precisa avançar mais para se tornar uma liderança mundial”.
