Um estudo conduzido por cientistas de países da Europa e do Canadá mostrou que oito milhões de empregos podem ser gerados globalmente em decorrência do combate ao aquecimento global. As novas vagas viriam em setores da energia renovável.

Os especialistas pesquisaram 50 países, entre eles, Estados Unidos, Rússia e China, que são grandes emissores de poluentes, e afirmam que os postos de trabalho podem surgir se o mundo alcançar as metas determinadas pelo Acordo de Paris até 2050.

O Brasil estaria entre as nações diretamente beneficiadas por essa meta. Se o país conseguir investir na indústria renovável e diminuir gases poluentes, podem ser geradas mais de 100 mil vagas até o ano em questão 2050, alertou um cientista à reportagem.

Os empregos seriam justamente nos setores de energia eólica, solar e de biomassa.
