Desenvolvido e realizado pelo Museu de História Natural de Londres, o concurso partiu de 49 mil inscrições para procurar pelas imagens capazes de melhor inspirar curiosidade, beleza e força tornando as fotografias da natureza em uma verdadeira forma de arte.
