Alguém ou Alguma Coisa Mexeu no Seu Queijo

Recentemente tornei a ler o clássico livro do psicólogo Spencer Johnson, “Quem Mexeu no Meu Queijo?”. Primeiramente publicada em 1998, essa alegoria ainda encontra eco em muitos de nós nos dias de hoje. Com o ritmo das mudanças em nosso mundo aparentemente aumentando todos os dias – talvez mais no mercado de trabalho do que em qualquer outra parte – esse pequeno livro continua a existir de acordo com o seu subtítulo “Um Modo Surpreendente de Lidar Com as Mudanças em Seu Trabalho e em Sua Vida”. 

Se você não está familiarizado com a estória, ela é sobre dois ratinhos (Sniff e Scurry) e dois anões (Hem e Haw) que atravessam um labirinto procurando queijo. Quando eles descobrem um suprimento abundante, passam a retornar ao local dia após dia, apreciando o seu queijo. Então, um dia, o queijo desaparece.

Depois de um pouquinho de confusão, intrigados com o que teria acontecido ao queijo que sempre estivera ali, os ratinhos começam a procurar por queijo em outros lugares do labirinto. No devido tempo, seus esforços são recompensados quando eles localizam um queijo em maior quantidade e de melhor qualidade do que o anterior. Os anões, entretanto, inicialmente se recusam a aceitar que o seu queijo de costume sumira para sempre. Eles voltam ao mesmo lugar dia após dia, apenas para encontrar…queijo nenhum. 

Por fim, Hem, levado pela raiva, decide procurar queijo em outro lugar do labirinto. Entretanto, seu companheiro, Haw é cabeça dura. Ele se recusa a reconhecer que o queijo não vai mais ser encontrado no lugar de costume. “Quem mexeu no meu queijo?”, ele pergunta repetidamente. 

Milhares de empresários e profissionais podem se identificar com a estória do “queijo”.  Sua busca pode não ser especificamente por queijo – o seu “queijo” pode ser mais clientes, uma carreira mais satisfatória, mais dinheiro, uma vida mais feliz ou qualquer outra coisa. É fútil voltar ao mesmo lugar na busca por esse “queijo” quando o suprimento já se esgotou.  A busca pelo “queijo” precisa seguir um caminho diferente. 

Em minha própria carreira, o “queijo” mudou de lugar inúmeras vezes.  Geralmente a mudança foi desconcertante. Eu me sentia confortável, fazendo o trabalho de costume. Era familiar, eu me sentia no controle, e a possibilidade de fazer uma grande mudança era no mínimo inquietante.

As Escrituras não falam sobre queijo especificamente, mas abordam os desafios de quando alguém ou alguma coisa parece ter mexido no nosso “queijo”. Aqui estão apenas alguns exemplos de como a fé pode ajudar quando o nosso “queijo” mudou de lugar: 

Há um tempo para todas as coisas.  Poucas coisas permanecem as mesmas na vida. Mudanças, quer gostemos ou não, são inevitáveis. “Para tudo há uma ocasião certa; há um tempo certo para cada propósito debaixo do céu… tempo de plantar e tempo de arrancar o que se plantou…tempo de derrubar e tempo de construir…” (Eclesiastes 3:1-8). 

Deus determina quando o “queijo” deve mudar de lugar.  Quando a mudança se torna necessária, podemos confiar que Deus já sabe o que é melhor para nós. “Porque sou Eu que conheço os planos que tenho para vocês, diz o Senhor, planos de fazê-los prosperar e não de lhes causar dano, planos de dar-lhes esperança e um futuro.” (Jeremias 29:11). 

Quando o nosso “queijo” muda de lugar, normalmente é por uma boa razão.  Deus tem um propósito abrangente, e Ele fará com que as mudanças que enfrentamos na vida se encaixem em Seu plano geral. “Consagre ao Senhor tudo o que você faz, e os seus planos serão bem-sucedidos. O Senhor faz tudo com um propósito…” (Provérbios 16:3-4a). “Em seu coração o homem planeja o seu caminho, mas o Senhor determina os seus passos.” (Provérbios 16:9).
