Cristo, o verdadeiro sentido do Natal

Vivemos num tempo, que muitos se esquecem do verdadeiro sentido do Natal, contudo, deveriam rever os seus valores, pois muito mais do que apelo comercial, o Natal é alegria, sendo que nesta data comemoramos o nascimento de Jesus Cristo, aquele que veio trazer paz, esperança e alegria para a humanidade.

Contudo, muitos, nem por um minuto do dia lembram-se do nascimento do Messias o salvador do mundo e paradoxalmente lembram mais do Natal comercial do que do Natal espiritual. Sendo está uma das marcas de nossa sociedade, como bem sinalizou o pastor e professor John Piper: “A marca da cultura de consumo é a redução do ‘ser’ para o ‘ter’.”

Na verdade, o nosso Natal é comemorado de forma diferente, pois apesar de estarmos no mundo, não somos deste mundo, e mesmo que saibamos que o Natal é época de presentes, festa e comemoração, para nós o Natal é muito mais do que isso.

É tempo de comemorarmos o nascimento de Jesus, pois esta é a mensagem do Evangelho: “ E o verbo se fez carne, e habitou entre nós, cheio de graça e de verdade…” (Jo 1:14). Entendemos que a vinda de Jesus ao mundo é a prova do grandioso amor de Deus por nós. Portanto, comemorar  o Natal é um privilégio quando lembramos que:

“Deus amou ( a nós) de tal maneira que deu o seu filho unigênito (Jesus), para que todo aquele que nele crê não pereça, mas tenha a vida eterna” (Jo 3:16).

O Verdadeiro sentido do Natal é dar ao nosso próximo o que Deus já deu em nosso favor, o Seu filho Jesus Cristo para morrer na cruz em nosso lugar, o que legitima a profecia messiânica de Isaias, que profetizou o nascimento de Jesus o salvador. Portanto, devemos sempre rememorar o nascimento de Jesus, como a marca principal do natal cristão: “Porque um menino nos nasceu, um filho se nos deu, e o principado está sobre os seus ombros, e se chamará o seu nome: Maravilhoso, Conselheiro, Deus Forte, Pai da Eternidade, Príncipe da Paz.” (Isaías 9:6).

De acordo com o pastor e professor Hernandes Dias Lopes: “No Natal que se aproxima, precisamos pensar menos na festa e mais na Pessoa de Jesus. Precisamos devolver a Jesus o sentido do Natal. As luzes, os cânticos, as iguarias, os presentes e toda a nossa agitação são vazios de significado se Jesus não for o centro da nossa vida.”

Natal é alegria e comunhão (AT 2:42), é esperança é ter Jesus em nosso coração (RM 5:5). Mais do que iguarias, festas em família e presentes, este dia só tem sentido quando o celebramos tendo JESUS CRISTO como o nosso Senhor e Salvador. Por fim, que possamos sempre lembrar da mensagem de fé e esperança que os anjos deram no primeiro natal: “Novas de grande alegria para todos”, continua muito atual, pois JESUS CRISTO é o verdadeiro sentido do NATAL!
