Land Rover vai restaurar carros antigos em fábrica no Brasil

Que tal deixar a recuperação de um automóvel nas mãos de quem o fabricou? Além dos zero km, parece que veículos antigos também vão começar a sair da fábrica da Jaguar Land Rover Brasil, em Itatiaia (RJ). Na última quarta-feira (10), a marca anunciou a inauguração de uma oficina de restauração de carros clássicos.

Esse tipo de serviço, muito comum e oferecido por diversas marcas na Europa, agora passa a ser oferecido pela Land Rover Brasil na mesma fábrica que monta o modelo Discovery Sport.

Para manter a autenticidade dos veículos históricos, a oficina disponibiliza apenas equipamentos e peças originais, além de um time de profissionais especialistas nesse tipo de serviço.

Batizado oficialmente de “Clínica de Restauração Land Rover”, o espaço pode receber até 12 carros simultaneamente e conta com seis baias só para montagem e desmontagem de veículos. E mais: para a finalização do serviço, ainda há uma cabine de pintura de alta performance dedicada às restaurações.

E depois do processo de recuperação, que ocorre tanto na parte interna quanto externa, o carro ainda passa por um teste à prova d’água e inspeções da superfície.

De acordo com a marca, a equipe especializada conversa com o proprietário antes de começar a operação para entender todas as particularidades do veículo, sua história e as preferências na restauração e preservação do carro.

Land Rover Brasil já restaurou o primeiro carro

A operação da “Clínica de Restauração” começa neste mês, mas já recebeu alguns veículos. O primeiro clássico finalizado foi um Land Rover Defender 110 de 1996, que teve toda a parte exterior e interior recuperadas, assim como a mecânica do veículo.
