SpaceX bate recorde de maior número de satélites enviados ao espaço em um único lançamento

A SpaceX lançou ao espaço nada mais, nada menos, do que 143 satélites em um único foguete Falcon 9 às 12h (horário de Brasília) deste domingo (24). O recorde anterior era de um foguete indiano que transportou 104 satélites em 2017.

O lançamento feito do Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) na Estação da Força Aérea de Cabo Canaveral, na Flórida, Estados Unidos, foi transmitido ao vivo pelo canal da SpaceX no YouTube.

O recorde de maior número de satélites enviados ao espaço em um único lançamento foi a primeira missão do novo programa de redução de custos da empresa de Elon Musk chamado SmallSat Rideshare.

O Transporter-1 oferece acesso relativamente barato ao espaço para pequenas empresas de satélites, que pegam “carona” em vez de comprar um foguete inteiro por um preço muito mais alto.
