Velozes & Furiosos 9: filme terá sequência no espaço

Durante uma entrevista à rádio Sirius XM, Rodriguez afirmou que este deveria ter sido um dos segredos dessa sequência, mas graça ao adiamento por conta da pandemia do novo coronavírus, a informação vazou. A atriz também confirmou que não foi a personagem dela que fez a cena, mas não deu mais detalhes sobre isso.

“Ah, não. Como vocês descobriram isso? Vê o que acontece? As pessoas começam a falar nos bastidores, cara”, disse a atriz. “Quando um filme não é lançado e as pessoas esquecem dele, as coisas vazam. Não era para ninguém saber disso. Bom, eu não sou sortuda o suficiente para ir para o espaço”.

Rodriguez também falou sobre as personagens femininas neste em Velozes & Furiosos 9. Segunda a atriz, houve uma roteirista mulher que revisou o texto final e procurou dar mais participação às mulheres. Ela também destacou que Justin Lin estava preocupado em oferecer mais atenção às personagens femininas.
