A Shell anunciou nesta segunda-feira, 5, que montou uma nova estrutura de negócios para comercialização e geração de energia elétrica no Brasil, incluindo armazenamento (baterias), com objetivo de desenvolver um modelo integrado em energia elétrica no País.
“Este modelo integrado dá aos nossos clientes no País o acesso à diversidade de produtos e serviços, à escala e à presença que a Shell possui no mercado global de energia“, afirmou em nota o presidente da Shell Brasil, André Araujo.
A estratégia de negócios da Shell Brasil em Comercialização e Novas Energias contemplará a geração e armazenamento de energias renováveis e gás natural, comercialização e otimização, e vendas a consumidores finais de soluções integradas de energia com a marca Shell.
No Brasil, um exemplo deste modelo integrado é a termelétrica Marlim Azul, joint-venture entre a Shell Brasil (29,9%), o Pátria Investimentos (50,1%) e a Mitsubishi Power System (20%). Em fase de construção, a planta terá capacidade instalada de 565,5 megawatts (MW) e será a primeira a usar o gás natural do pré-sal.
No segmento de energias renováveis, a empresa aguarda pedido para 24 outorgas de energia solar fotovoltaica em Minas Gerais, totalizando 1,1 gigawatts (GW).
Os negócios em geração e armazenamento de energia elétrica renovável e gás natural serão liderados pelo Diretor de Novas Energias da Shell Brasil, Guilherme Perdigão, enquanto Gabriela Oliveira continua sendo responsável pelo desenvolvimento de projetos de geração de energia renováveis. Já a comercialização e a oferta de soluções integradas de energia para consumidores ficam a cargo da comercializadora Shell Energy Brasil, que opera desde 2017.
