Ouvir a Deus… Sem Ouvir Realmente

Richard Blackaby, escritor e palestrante internacional, conta a história de um homem de negócios que expressou sua frustração por Deus ficar em silêncio quando ele pediu sabedoria para saber se aceitava ou não a oferta de um novo trabalho. Aquele homem dizia ter aceitado o emprego por não ouvir Deus responder, o que revelou-se ser uma terrível decisão. 

Blackaby disse que, ao falar com esse indivíduo, começou a fazer-lhe perguntas investigativas. “O que sua esposa pensava a respeito daquele trabalho?” “Oh, ela não gostava nada da ideia”, respondeu o homem de negócios. 

Em seguida, Blackaby perguntou se o homem havia ou não consultado seu pastor. “Ele não é da área empresarial, por isso não o consultei!” – ele respondeu. “Até mesmo meu filho me pediu para não aceitar o trabalho, mas ele é apenas um garoto.” Reconhecendo imediatamente qual era o problema, Blackaby disse: “Me parece que Deus respondeu diversas vezes. Você simplesmente não estava ouvindo.”

Uma das perguntas mais comuns de uma pessoa que tenta viver de acordo com sua fé quando confronta os desafios da vida e do trabalho é: “Como posso saber qual é a vontade de Deus?” Nós encontramos na Bíblia exemplos de indivíduos aos quais Deus falou direta e pessoalmente: Noé, que foi instruído a construir uma enorme arca; Moisés, e a sarça ardente; o profeta Samuel quando era apenas um menino; Saulo (que se tornou o apóstolo Paulo) na estrada para Damasco, e outros. 

Talvez você conheça pessoalmente alguém que afirme ter ouvido Deus falar claramente com ele. Sim, o Senhor pode agir desta maneira, mas tais ocasiões são muito raras. Ele geralmente não Se comunica conosco audivelmente ou transmite Suas mensagens através de outdoors; tampouco usa placas de neon. Normalmente, Deus fala conosco de várias outras maneiras. Vamos analisar algumas delas:  

Deus fala por meio de Sua Palavra.  Os 66 livros que compõem o Antigo e Novo Testamentos da Bíblia estão repletos de verdades e princípios aplicáveis à vida cotidiana, até mesmo ao mercado de trabalho do século XXI. Como um alto executivo disse certa vez, “É o melhor livro de negócios que já li.” Eu concordo. “Toda a Escritura é inspirada por Deus e útil para o ensino, para a repreensão, para a correção e para a instrução na justiça, para que o homem de Deus seja apto e plenamente preparado para toda boa obra.” (II Timóteo 3:16-17).  

Deus fala através de conselhos de pessoas devotadas.  Às vezes resistimos à vontade de pedir conselhos ou deixamos de dar atenção ao que nos é dito porque isso é contrário aos nossos desejos. Porém, conselhos confiáveis e devotados de nossos colegas e pares, de uma esposa intuitiva e até mesmo de uma criança perceptiva nos auxiliam a evitar a tomada de decisões erradas, capazes de alterar nossa vida. “Sem diretrizes a nação cai; o que a salva é ter muitos conselheiros.” (Provérbios 11:14). “Ouça conselhos e aceite instruções, e acabará sendo sábio.” (Provérbios 19:20).

Deus fala através das circunstâncias.  Ao nos guiar, Deus tem uma maneira de fechar uma porta e abrir outra. “Em seu coração o homem planeja seu caminho, mas o Senhor determina os seus passos.” (Provérbios 16:9). “Os passos do homem são dirigidos pelo Senhor. Como poderia alguém discernir o seu próprio caminho?” (Provérbios 20:24).  

O Senhor também pode nos guiar de outras maneiras, mas a chave é ouvir e prestar atenção. Em Mateus 11:15 Jesus disse: “Aquele que tem ouvidos, ouça!” Se perguntarmos, Deus pode escolher falar conosco de inúmeras formas, mas precisamos estar dispostos a ouvir.
