Um Líder que Causaria Boa Impressão em Jesus

Um dos pontos principais para o sucesso nos negócios que tem sido subestimado é a habilidade de causar uma boa impressão nas pessoas com quem nos reunimos, especialmente aquelas que ocupam posições de influência. Todos nós conhecemos a verdade do ditado que diz: você nunca terá uma segunda chance para causar uma primeira boa impressão. Sendo assim, se você tivesse a oportunidade, quem seria a pessoa em quem você gostaria de causar uma boa impressão?

Deixando o ambiente do mercado de trabalho, o que você acha que seria preciso para impressionar alguém da magnitude de Jesus Cristo? Indiscutivelmente, Ele exerceu mais influência sobre pessoas de todas as nações e culturas do que qualquer outro indivíduo na história. Contudo, no capítulo 7 do evangelho de Lucas, lemos a respeito de um homem que deixou Jesus admirado. Isso é particularmente notável porque, ao contrário de Jesus, aquele líder nem mesmo era judeu, mas, sim, um gentio, um centurião romano.

Essa breve história fala de um líder militar, um oficial que comandava centenas de homens, pedindo a Jesus que curasse seu servo. Nesse centurião vemos diversas qualidades que podem ajudar cada um de nós a tornar-nos líderes melhores, mesmo no frequentemente impessoal e duro mundo profissional.

A profunda compaixão do líder. Em Lucas 7:2 lemos: “E o servo de um centurião, a quem este muito estimava, estava doente, quase à morte.” A primeira qualidade que descobrimos é a compaixão daquele oficial. O texto nos diz que ele considerava muito seu escravo e se preocupava o suficiente a ponto de buscar uma cura divina para ele. Isso era extremamente incomum naqueles dias, dada a diferença de posição dos dois homens, e foi muito compassivo por parte do centurião. Até onde você iria para cuidar de cada membro de sua equipe, inclusive aqueles que estão sob a sua autoridade?

A sabedoria estratégica do líder. O segundo atributo daquele centurião que se destaca é sua sabedoria estratégica. Ele poderia ter pleiteado aquela causa pessoalmente, ou mesmo tentado exercer seu poder oficial para intimidar Jesus. No entanto, Lucas 7:3 afirma: “Quando o centurião ouviu falar a respeito de Jesus, enviou-Lhe alguns anciãos dos judeus, pedindo-Lhe que viesse curar o seu servo.” O centurião sabiamente escolheu os líderes judeus, pessoas diretamente ligadas a Jesus, para pedirem em seu favor. Selecionar as pessoas certas para representarem você e a sua causa revela sabedoria estratégica.

O ato de intercessão do centurião demonstrou que nada – graves enfermidades, diferenças culturais ou distância – poderia deter a sua fé no ministério de cura de Jesus. De forma similar, devemos todos orar para que a nossa fé em Jesus permaneça forte o bastante para vencer sejam quais forem os obstáculos e problemas empresariais que surjam em nosso caminho.

A fé corajosa do líder. O último atributo que vemos demonstrado por aquele centurião romano que pediu a Jesus para curar milagrosamente o seu servo é sua fé corajosa. Ele obviamente tinha ouvido falar de Jesus e Seus milagres. Apesar de ser gentio e não um judeu, basicamente um estranho à esfera de influência imediata de Jesus, o oficial creu completamente que Jesus poderia curar seu servo. E o que é ainda mais notável ele também estava convencido de que Jesus poderia ordenar a cura sem sequer estar presente!

Por isso Lucas 7:9 nos diz: “Ao ouvir estas palavras, Jesus ficou admirado com aquele homem e, voltando-se para o povo que O acompanhava, disse: Eu lhes digo que nem mesmo em Israel encontrei fé como esta.” O centurião não apenas creu que Jesus poderia restaurar a saúde do seu servo, mas também que Ele poderia fazer isso de uma longa distância.

3. Qual o papel da compaixão no mundo empresarial de hoje? Você a vê demonstrada com frequência? De que formas? Caso contrário, por que isso é tão incomum?
