A Fundação Estudar acaba de lançar o CC50, versão em português do curso CS50. Conhecido por ser o curso mais popular da universidade Harvard, comandado pelo professor David Malan, o CS50 é um curso de introdução à ciência da computação. O CC50, que pode ser acessado gratuitamente, é a versão em português do curso.

O CC50 foi traduzido a partir do CS50 pelo bolsista da Fundação Estudar Gabriel Guimarães. Ele fez o CS50 em 2011, quando tinha 17 anos e estudava no Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo (IFES). A ideia de traduzir o curso, que já estava disponível online, veio da vontade de compartilhar as aulas com estudantes que não dominassem a a língua inglesa.

Gabriel também foi assistente do professor David Malan mais tarde, quando estudou em Harvard. Além de traduzir o curso, também já ministrou três edições presenciais dele, em Vitória, no Espírito Santo.

O que vou aprender no CC50?

O CC50 é um curso introdutório à Ciência da Computação focado em pessoas que não tenham conhecimento prévio da área. Ele ensina os fundamentos de como funcionam os computadores e a internet, e também introduz o aluno à lógica da programação. A partir dessa base, o estudante tem mais facilidade para aprender qualquer linguagem.
