Maestro João Carlos Martins se emociona ao tocar piano com luvas biônicas

O maestro João Carlos Martins compartilhou um momento emocionante nas redes sociais. Usando luvas biônicas, ele chorou ao tocar uma música composta por Johann Sebastian Bach e Alessandro Marcello.

Em entrevista à CNN, o maestro comentou porque se emocionou: “Há 22 anos eu não tocava o piano com os dez dedos. A última vez foi em Londres. Após 24 operações, consegui encostar os dois polegares no teclado e agora, com a tecnologia, consegui tocar essa música de Johann Sabastian Bach”.

Agora que tem uma conta no Instagram, o maestro comentou que já mostrou na rede alguns vídeos da época em que ele “podia fazer 21 notas por segundo em concertos”. Ele também disse que ficou impressionado com a repercussão que esse último vídeo teve no Brasil e no mundo.

“O número de visualizações chegou há 20 milhões, com cerca de 6 milhões só no Brasil. 187 jornais do mundo inteiro publicaram que eu estava colocando os 10 dedos no teclado. Fico muito orgulhoso com a repercussão. Um maestro e um pianista que luta pela democratização da música clássica em seu país está cumprindo a sua missão, porque somos missionários da música neste planeta”, afirmou.

O designer Ubiratan Bizarro, de Sumaré, foi o inventor das luvas que permitem João Carlos Martins, com 80 anos, a tocar piano com as duas mãos e a fazer planos de voltar a tocar em concertos.

“Dia 17 de outubro do ano que vem vou celebrar 60 anos da minha estreia na música. E no final do concerto, vou tocar piano usando as luvas. Esse é o meu desafio que com 80 anos já pensa em projetos para os próximos 20 anos”, afirmou.
