O Legado Que Perdura – Fruto Que Não Se Perde

“Legado” é uma palavra que ouvimos muito nestes dias. Quem sabe se quando as pessoas envelhecem, não ficam imaginando de que maneira serão lembradas – se é que serão lembradas. Grande Convicção – Roger jamais titubeou no entendimento da sua dependência do Senhor e Seu Espírito para realizar alguma coisa de valor eterno. “…Quem permanece em Mim, e Eu nele, esse dá muito fruto; porque sem Mim vocês não podem fazer nada…Eu os escolhi e os designei para que vão e deem fruto, e o fruto de vocês permaneça…” (João 15: 5, 16).

Altamente disciplinado – Fosse gastando tempo para estudar a Bíblia para estar mais perto de Deus; memorizando versículos das Escrituras; fielmente desafiando outros homens em seu crescimento espiritual, ou os exortando para juntos fazerem discípulos, Roger permaneceu determinado e deliberado. “…prossigo para conquistar aquilo para o que também fui conquistado por Cristo Jesus…prossigo para o alvo, para o prêmio da soberana vocação de Deus em Cristo Jesus.” (Filipenses 3: 12-14).

Generoso – Generosidade era outros dos traços de Roger, fosse em dar seu tempo e energia, ou usando seus recursos pessoais para beneficiar outros e ajudar o avanço da causa de Cristo no mundo profissional e empresarial. No processo, ele foi abundantemente abençoado. “…lembrar das palavras do próprio Senhor Jesus: ‘Mais bem-aventurado é dar do que receber.’” (Atos 20:35).
